By downloading or using Universal Smart Remote for TV (the "App"), these terms will automatically apply to you. Please read them carefully before using the App.
TINAC Inc. grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App, nor may you reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the source code, unless applicable laws prohibit these restrictions.
The App, including all trademarks, copyrights, database rights, and other intellectual property rights related to it, belongs to TINAC Inc.
Universal Smart Remote for TV is designed to work with Samsung, LG, Sony, TCL, Roku, and Philips smart TVs, but is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of these companies. All trademarks and brand names referenced in the App or in App Store materials belong to their respective owners and are used solely to describe device compatibility.
The App requires access to your local network to discover, connect to, and control compatible smart TVs over Wi-Fi. Discovery and control commands are sent directly between your device and your TV on your local network; the App does not transmit your TV's identity, network configuration, or the content of your remote-control commands to TINAC Inc. or any third party.
Some features, such as auto-reconnect, rely on the App remembering a previously connected TV's network identifiers on your device. This information stays on your device and is not uploaded.
Universal Smart Remote for TV offers an optional "Pro" upgrade, available as auto-renewable subscriptions or a one-time lifetime purchase, unlocking touchpad control and on-screen keyboard input. Purchases are processed through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions.
Payment will be charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Subscription management and cancellation are handled through your Apple ID Account Settings. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
The App uses the following third-party services to operate and to understand how the App is used:
Core remote-control features work entirely over your local Wi-Fi network and do not require general internet access. An internet connection is required for in-app purchases and for transmitting analytics and crash data. We cannot take responsibility for the App not working at full functionality if you do not have the required network access.
We may update the App from time to time. System requirements may change, and you will need to download updates to continue using the App or to remain compatible with newer smart TV models. We do not promise to always update the App to remain compatible with every iOS version or every TV model.
Users shall not engage in the following when using this App:
The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the App will be compatible with every smart TV model or firmware version.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TINAC Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of connectivity to your TV or unintended remote-control commands.
We may revoke your license to use the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. Upon termination, the rights and licenses granted to you will end, and you must stop using the App and delete it from your device.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. We will notify you of changes by posting the updated terms on this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
