By downloading or using Aurora Forecast (the "App"), these terms will automatically apply to you. Please read them carefully before using the App.
TINAC Inc. grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App, nor may you reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the source code, unless applicable laws prohibit these restrictions.
The App, including all trademarks, copyrights, database rights, and other intellectual property rights related to it, belongs to TINAC Inc.
Aurora Forecast provides space weather data, aurora predictions, and viewing recommendations for informational purposes only. While we strive for accuracy, predictions are based on scientific models and real-time data feeds from NOAA, NASA, and other sources that may be delayed or incomplete.
We do not guarantee the accuracy of aurora forecasts, Kp index predictions, or AI-generated viewing recommendations. Do not rely solely on this App for safety-critical decisions.
The App includes an optional Community Sightings feature that lets you share that the aurora is visible near you, which then appears to other nearby users ("User Content"). User Content is submitted by users, not by TINAC Inc.
You are solely responsible for the sightings you post, and you must not submit content that is false, misleading, abusive, harassing, hateful, obscene, unlawful, or otherwise objectionable. There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior.
You can remove your own sighting at any time, and you can report another user's sighting from within the App. A sighting reported by enough distinct users is hidden automatically. We may also remove any User Content and restrict or terminate the access of any user who violates these Terms, at our discretion and without notice.
Aurora Forecast offers optional in-app purchases and subscriptions for premium features. Purchases are processed through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions. Subscription management and cancellation are handled through your Apple ID settings.
The App requires an active internet connection (Wi-Fi or cellular data) to function. We cannot take responsibility for the App not working at full functionality if you do not have internet access.
We may update the App from time to time. The App is currently available for iOS — system requirements may change, and you will need to download updates to continue using the App. We do not promise to always update the App to remain compatible with every iOS version.
Users shall not engage in the following when using this App:
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TINAC Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. Upon termination, the rights and licenses granted to you will end, and you must stop using the App.
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. We will notify you of changes by posting the updated terms on this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
